The Chocolate-Coated Man

A handsome man, coated from head to toe in chocolate: what woman would not become weak? In the installation by artist Sonja Alhäuser, Brown Bath, a man dives into a bathtub filled to the brim with gooey chocolate. It’s an image of pleasure – and not only culinary. Until the middle of March Brown Bath can be seen along with two other chocolaty works by Alhäuser at the Museum of Modern Art in Salvador-Bahia, Brazil. The exhibition is the finale of the multi-year project Metamorphoses of Cocoa by the Goethe-Institut. By the way, they say visitors are also invited to climb into the chocolate bathtub. Or perhaps the artist just wants to take us to the cleaners.
