Monkey See, Monkey Do

Roused politicians and journalists in Costa Rica agreed: cat and mouse, a circus, and an ape in a suit – the graffiti right next to parliament must be meant as criticism of the work of the MPs. They would have preferred to get rid of the incomplete work right away. One of the people who advocated allowing it to be finished was the German ambassador. It is part of the street art tour "Urban Heartbeat" / "De mi barrio a tu barrio". For six weeks, the Berlin artist Jim Avignon travelled through Central America and painted murals in public spaces together with young local artists.
