Random objects ...... are the focus of the latest works by Thomas Demand: cigarette butts, a crumpled piece of paper, a bathroom stool. Yet his working method has stayed the same: the native of Munich builds paper models after photos and photographs them. In Sydney he transformed the entire floor of an exclusive hotel into a work of art using photos, texts and a special fragrance. The Dailies exhibition was part of the Kaldor Public Art Project held in a Sydney with the support of the Goethe-Institut.
