Books and Tulips The tulips were blooming in the garden, green balloons floated up to the sky. In Yerevan, the new Language Learning Centre was opened by Germany’s minister of state Cornelia Pieper and Armenia’s educational minister Armen Ashotyan opened . It was set up with the active support of the Goethe-Institut, which will remain the centre’s close cooperation partner. The opening could not have been scheduled at a better time. In 2012, Yerevan is not only the capital city of Armenia, but is also designated the UNESCO World Book Capital.
