Changing Course

For ten years now, the Belarusian media have repeatedly announced that the government intends to set up a sea trading fleet, using the logic that the country can save transport costs with its own ships. But, Belarus is a landlocked country; it is not on any sea. Now, the Belarusian artist Mikhail Gulin has completed the ambitious plans by setting a fleet of cardboard ships on the Lithuanian Baltic. He is also taking a course to the open sea in the project Going Public – On the difficulty of a public statement.
