Visitors from Tennessee
It’s all the nicer to discover foreign languages and different cultures if you make lasting friends in the process. In culinary terms, the pupils from Albrecht-Dürer-Gymnasium in Berlin and Dobyns Bennett High School in the United States agreed on one thing: ketchup and cola ensured consensus and a good start for two weeks together on the Spree. In autumn 2011, the Berlin pupils had already visited the partner school in Kingsport, Tennessee. The German American Partnership Program (GAPP) and the Goethe-Institut have been organizing the bilateral pupil exchanges for 40 years.
