What do you actually experience when you spend four weeks as an author travelling around a foreign country? What ideas and impulses do you bring back home with you?
Kathrin Passig and Ilija Trojanow spent a month in São Paulo and Salvador-Bahia at the invitation of the Goethe-Institut. Having just arrived back in Germany, they are speaking at the Book Fair about their experiences in Brazil, their current projects and the significance of the internet and social media for literature. In talks on the subject of “Internet – a blessing or a curse” and “Attack on freedom”, the two authors present a provocative discussion on the internet and the opportunities and risks associated with it.
