To commemorate “Germany Year” in Brazil, the Martius-Staden-Institut has issued a book entitled “Fünf Jahrhunderte deutsch-brasilianische Beziehungen” (Five hundred years of German-Brazilian relations). Professor Willi Bolle from the University of São Paulo (USP) and Eckhard E. Kupfer, head of the Martius-Staden-Institut, invited 23 prominent authors to contribute articles in a popular science style to throw light on half a millennium of German-Brazilian history in politics, economics, science and culture: from Hans Staden’s adventure in the 16th century to the severance of bilateral relations in 1942.
Cooperation: Martius-Staden-Institut, Goethe-Institut São Paulo
