Michael Kampe was born in Hamburg and moved to Berlin by the age of 7. His fascination for fashion design first developed while he was taking his school exams in Fine Arts. After graduation he completed a half year long internship at the traditional German tailor "Atelier Dominik" in Berlin. Michael then began his studies in Fashion Design at the University of Pforzheim. He is currently working towards further fashion qualifications at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp in Belgium. He has already had success with his designs, including being awarded the "Peek and Cloppenburg Golfdays Design Award 2007".
