Katrin Switala was born in Rinteln and studied for a degree in Fashion Design at the University of Applied Sciences in Bielefeld, from where she graduated this year. She also has a qualification in Garment Cutting. Katrin has interned at labels in Berlin, London and Greece, most recently as a design assistant for Sophia Kokosalaki in London. This year she presented a collection at January’s Berlin Fashion Week as part of the “Becks Fashion Experience” together with Kamilla Richter and won the “Design am Rhein 2009” competition with her graduation collection “Kaleidoscope”.
