The Information and Library Division works together closely with national and local professionals, libraries and associations to develop workshops, conferences, seminars, study trips to Germany and library alliances. They examine the role libraries play in the information society, the forward-looking development of professional training and digitalization of media collections and information access.Library
The network of Goethe-Institut libraries offers over 800,000 media worldwide at 95 locations. Every day the libraries receive about 1,000 requests for information.The libraries bring Germany closer to the public through theme-oriented media inventories, daily news and skilled staff. As the meeting place for visitors, customers and employees, the libraries create access to the latest trends in Germany.
