© ZIFG The ZIFG is an independent centre at the Humanities Department (Fakultät für Geisteswissenschaften) of the TU Berlin, that deals with the formation of gender relations in the field of tension of technology, culture, science and society, and investigates the constructions of gender and gender systems and their relevance for the construction and ordering of societies and (scientific and scholarly) knowledge.

In its research and teaching activities, the ZIFG combines perspectives from the humanities and cultural and social sciences with those of the natural sciences and technology. The ZIFG initiates transdisciplinary lectures and courses of study, research projects conferences, colloquia and public dialogues on issues relating to women's studies and gender research.
