The Hanover Institute of Philosophical Research is dedicated to ethics in private and social life. Challenges presented by the natural sciences, technology and globalisation are critically examined and evaluated. The institute's philosophers contribute to the development of methods and concepts, mastering complexity and ethical argumentation; theologians contribute their experience in dealing with the spiritual and moral issues that motivate people. The FIPH advises businesses and policy makers and prepares expert opinions on philosophical and theological issues.
