What’s a library to you?

A library is my workplace as I am a librarian, but I also consider it my home and sanctuary. As a child, I would read books that would take me to imaginary worlds. As an older student, it is my place for knowledge and learning.

What’s the single most essential thing you need in your everyday work?

To start the day, I usually have a cup of coffee to energize myself before I tackle my multi-tasking work that includes managing our social media and website, cataloguing books, and overseeing the Law Library.

What was the most memorable experience you ever had in a library?

I think my most memorable experience in a library is when an unexpected earthquake hit and everyone including librarians and students have to evacuate in a short time. Good thing that in the library building and university campus, we are prepared for earthquakes.

The library’s core roles remain constant

In the pandemic the digital services has proven as the library’s lifeline, the principal way to reach out to the community and help them with their needs.
