Nilay Cevher private What’s a library to you?

It is a phenomenon that reflects the importance a nation gives to information and science and the development level of a society.

What’s the single most essential thing you need in your everyday work?

What was the most memorable experience you ever had in a library?

When I visited the National Library in Yerevan, Armenia with some of my colleagues from Turkish Librarians’ Association in 2015, our Armenian colleagues were being so kind that they exhibited their rare manuscripts related to the period of Ottoman Empire just for a couple of hours and just for us. We shared mutual peaceful thoughts and wishes about our common history and current/future relations. Library was a bridge connecting us from two conflicting nations.
