A college student in New Delhi, India, connected with the free library movement as astudent-leader of The Community Library Project.

Simpy Sharma private What’s a library to you?

It is a part of me, a part of who I am. Library is like my second hand. Without it I am incomplete. I felt blessed that the Library is part of my life, my favorite place and my family. I learnt all things because of our library.

What’s the single most essential thing you need in your everyday work?

Phone/laptop with internet

What was the most memorable experience you ever had in a library?

For the first time we, the student council, organised an event “Christmas ki party” without taking help from our Librarians and Volunteers. We planned all things, from start to finish. And finally when our event finished our happiness was doubled when we saw our members happy.
