Together with its partners, the Goethe-Institut is once again represented at the Frankfurt Book Fair, this year with a reduced program due to the budget situation. On this page you will find relevant topics around this year's fair.

New scope for mutual influences: literary exchange between Germany and Italy

Margherita Carbonaro (translator) and Marco Federici Solari (L’orma editore) will speak about communicating German-language literature to an Italian readership.

The team from Theater Heidelberg reads the winning play of the International Author Award 2022 at the Heidelberg Stückemarkt – first milestone of the Goethe-Institut Madrid with Acción Cultural Española, Martin Valdés Stauber, José Manuel Mora and Carlota Ferrer in the scenic arts On the way to Frankfurt.

At the center of the book presentation of Schattenschwimmer. Neue Theatertexte aus Spanien (Neofelis Verlag) is a staged reading of the play Himmelweg by Juan Mayorga. The translation was worked on, among others, in the translators' residency at the Goethe-Institut Madrid. The residency program is part of the multidisciplinary program On the Way to Frankfurt, launched to celebrate Spain as Guest of Honor at the Frankfurt Book Fair 2022.
