What does the Greek word "filotimo" mean? Or the Dutch "uitwaaien"? Each language has unique words that have no direct translation. They express special feelings, describe typical situations or stand for personal qualities.

Under the hashtag #nurinmeinersprache, the Goethe-Instituts worldwide have gathered words on Facebook and Twitter, that are difficult to translate into other languages.

Whether Greece, Finland, Lithuania or Singapore - we set out in search of unique words in all countries of the world. Thanks to suggestions from our readers, the series turned out even more exciting.
