Current from the classical scene

Our April Klassikcast is full of contrasts, including some contemplative sacred music for Easter and lively tunes to ring in the spring. We hear Bach at his most dramatic in the Saint Matthew Passion and at his most intimate in a sonata for violin and oboe. Violinist Daniel Röhn takes us back to swing music from the Roaring ’20s, then in Haydn’s oratorio The Seven Last Words, the Ensemble Resonanz shake us up with a raging earthquake.
