Archiv Frau und Musik

The Archiv Frau und Musik awards in cooperation with the Institute for Contemporary Music (IzM) at the University of Music and Performing Arts Frankfurt am Main (HfMDK) a 3-month working scholarship for female composers. The selection of the scholarship holder will be made by an expert jury, each consisting of one representative of the archive Frau und Musik or the International Working Group for Women and Music e. V., the Institute for Contemporary Music of the HfMDK Frankfurt am Main, the media partner and an active contemporary music interpreter. The stay begins with a presentation of the scholarship holder in a public and appropriate setting and ends with a world premiere of one or more of her works, which she develops together with students from the University of Music and Performing Arts Frankfurt am Main. The final concert will take place at the HfMDK Frankfurt am Main.
