Hong Kong – Berlin: 2 months 24/7

The cooperative project of the Goethe-Institut Hong Kong and the Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg began in 2012. It makes it possible for film makers from Germany to live and work for two months in Hong Kong, and vice versa for a film maker from Hong Kong to spend two months in Berlin.

Numerous visits and discussions afford the guest artists an intensive insight into the local film scene. They can then pursue their own research.

During their stay, the artists present works they have brought with them to the film public. Films that resulted from the previous Hong Kong residency were shown in the following year in the film programme of the Goethe-Institut Hong Kong.
