Beijing: Residency programm for the Visual Arts

Who: Artists based in Germany whose work has already been publicly exhibited or published may apply for the residency in the visual arts. Needless to say, applicants are expected to show an open mind towards the host country’s culture.

Section: Visual Arts

Duration: 3 months (September 1st – November 30th)

In association with I: Project Space, the Goethe-Institut China holds one residency program for visual artists every year. During a three-month residency, artists from Germany will have an opportunity to work on their own China-related projects, take in new artistic stimuli and make contact with Chinese creative artists. They may present their projects afterwards if they like, but are not required to produce any concrete results.
