Who: Architects, curators and scholars who have completed a relevant degree. The applicants must mainly work and live in Germany.

Rotterdam is an internationally renowned centre of modern architecture with a diverse and trend-setting architecture scene. The city is the home of the Nieuwe Institute (formerly the Netherlands Institute of Architecture) and of various schools for architects, including the Berlage Institute and the Academy of Urban Design and Architecture. In addition to the International Architecture Biennale Rotterdam (IABR), founded in 2001, the Architecture Film Festival Rotterdam (AFFR) takes place here every two years. To be eligible, the applicant’s project must be related to the city’s architecture.
