Tel Aviv: Bronner Residency

Who: Artists from North Rhine-Westphalia (Germany)

Section: Visual Arts

Duration: 6 months

Since 2008, in cooperation with North Rhine-Westphalia Arts Council (Kunststiftung NRW), the Dan and Cary Bronner Foundation and the Artists' Studio in Tel Aviv, the Goethe-Institut Tel Aviv has devoted itself to grants enabling artist exchanges between Israel and North Rhine-Westphalia.

An artist from North Rhine-Westphalia has an opportunity of transferring the focus of his or her work and life to Tel Aviv for six months – an Israeli artist has the same opportunity in Düsseldorf.

The “Bronner Residency” was established by Dan and Cary Bronner, the parents of the art collector Gil Bronner. It provides the guest artist with the opportunity of making and deepening contacts, exchanging thoughts and suggestions, and introducing new ideas into their local art scenes.
