Short description of the program

The Czech Literature Centre Section of the Moravian National Library, in cooperation with the Goethe Institute Czech Republic and the Education and Culture Centre of Broumov Monastery, is organising German-Czech residencies in the Broumov Monastery Literature House for projects related to the residence theme of “Before the border, behind the border”

The call focuses on one-month residencies during the months of March, April, and May 2020

The aim of these creative residencies is to find the opportunity for concentrated creative activity in the inspiring surroundings of Broumov and to activate cultural life in this area. In addition to the work on the project, on the basis of which the residents will be selected, it is expected that the program participants will write a short text on the residency theme of “Before the border, behind the border” (short story, essay, feuilleton, comic strip, etc.) for the provider of the residency.
