Literature residency in the monastery Broumov

The Goethe-Institut Czech Republic, in cooperation with the Czech Literature Centre Section of the Moravian National Library and the Educational and Cultural Centre of the Broumov Monastery, invites applications for German-Czech residencies in the Literature House of the Broumov Monastery.

Who: Writers of all literary genres who would like to address the topic of "generational issues" within the framework of the residency.

Section: Literature

Duration: April, May 2024, a one-month residency in each case

Istanbul

Kulturakademie Tarabya

Tarabya Cultural Academy is a residency program in Istanbul for artists of all disciplines. It was founded in 2011 on the initiative of the German Bundestag to promote artistic exchange between Turkey and Germany. Every year Tarabya Cultural Academy enables around 20 artists who live and work in Germany and German-Turkish artist tandems to network with the Turkish cultural scene under the auspices of coproduction grants, grants, which are awarded in cooperation with the Allianz Kulturstiftung. The Cultural Academy is domiciled at the site of the historic summer residence of the German ambassador in Tarabya (Istanbul). It is run by the German embassy in Ankara, and its curatorial projects are supervised by the Goethe-Institut.

Who: artists of various sections

Section: Architecture, visual art, performing art, design, literature, music, film, journalism and cultural theory

Duration: Four or eight months, with an option for extension by request for another two months at a later date.

Goethe on Mallorca

Casa Planas and the Goethe-Institut Barcelona announce their sixth edition of the residency program for research and artistic creation. The aim is to develop innovative projects that reflect on cultural relations, contemporary global mobility and tourism and draw a new cultural map, focusing on the socio-political coexistence between Germany and Mallorca.

Who: Artists, thinkers, researchers, cultural producers or curators in the field of contemporary art living in Germany
