Germany is the country in the European Union with the most neighbouring states. Cross-border cooperation, also with partners from other cultural institutes, seems to be exemplary here. Why is it important to promote multilingualism and what role does it play in the exchange on common goals? Can Germany's cross-border perspective be seen as exemplary for other regions in the European Union? In 2020, experts from the EU institutions, from the field of language and culture as well as politicians met to discuss various aspects of multilingualism in Germany and Europe.
