As an English-language, job-concurrent distance learning course, the accredited online master’s programme is addressed to cultural professionals all over the world. Key topics of the interdisciplinary course are Internationalisation, transformation, digitisation and sustainability in cultural management. In addition, the students expand their knowledge of entrepreneurship and audience development and design independent analysis and evaluation tools. Particular attention is paid to practical training: Case studies and project work support international students in transferring their specialist knowledge into practice. For instance, the Pakistan Chowk Community Centre in Karachi, Pakistan was selected as the case study for the Culture & Transformation module and implemented in it. The ongoing and upcoming transformation processes of institutions, formats and processes are understood as an opportunity for cultural managers to emerge as constructive designers and moderators of change and to create models themselves.
