Fire and Ice

The picture displayed in the middle of the Kyiv winter by the theatre ensemble Ukrainian New Drama is both menacing and contemporary. Once every year, its Week of the Latest Play festival and the Goethe-Institut Ukraine track down hopefuls on the German theatrical scene. In addition to performances of plays by these playwrights, the festival features readings, seminars and master classes.
