What should you always have with you at a light installation? You guessed it: an umbrella. This is true at least for the event FLOW/Im Fluss. It was held at Goethe-Institut in Chicago for the twentieth anniversary of the sisterhood between the cities of Chicago and Hamburg. Rays of light were used to “paint” information about the Chicago River and the River Elbe on screens. Visitors never dreamed that the oxygen content, currents and contamination levels of the two rivers could be presented in such a lively and artistic way.
