They simply melted away under Peru’s sunshine: ice sculptures by the Brazilian artist Néle Azevedo. She carried out her “Minimum Monument” project in Lima on the invitation of the Goethe-Institut. It’s no coincidence that this melting of artistic ice is evocative of the melting of the polar ice caps. The Goethe-Institut project will open an exhibition entitled examples to follow! expeditions in aesthetics and sustainability right on time for the World Climate Summit in Lima this December.
