Leaping in Air
It’s one small leap for the youth to bridge the abyss between two concrete pillars at the Berlin Holocaust monument. Twenty-five years after the fall of the Berlin wall, six Sicilian photographers went off in search of borders and abysses in Berlin and their home city of Palermo. They discovered walls of stone, of poverty, loneliness and the omertà, the Mafia code of silence. Their photographs were now shown in the exhibition Luftbrücke. A Bridge Between Berlin and Palermo at the Goethe-Institut Palermo.
