An ironing board, a laptop and a beamer: you don’t need much to run an outdoor cinema. Even lounge chairs and warm temperatures – the traditional amenities of this kind of venue in Germany – are not really necessary. A city park is also perfectly suited as a gallery for all sorts of installations. The Goethe-Institut Bucharest now supported artists in five cities in the Republic of Moldova to create eight Alternative Art Dreamspaces (KunsTräume). The art projects ended up on the roofs of high-rises, on playgrounds and in air raid shelters.
