A Change in Perspective – The Goethe-Institut’s Residencies

A Change in Perspective – The Goethe-Institut’s Residencies © Goethe-Institut The Goethe-Institut seeks to provide a space for new perspectives, and invites artists and culture creators each year to live and work for a time in a different country and a different culture. Longer stays abroad enable a deep immersion into another culture, personal encounters and promotion of intercultural dialogue.

The booklet “Perspektivwechsel” presents a selection of programmes and projects around the world – with an except from a novel by Lucy Fricke, who moved into the Villa Kamogawa in Kyoto in 2011 as the first grant holder, excerpts from the comic travelogue of Barbara Yelin, who drew her experiences and observations of everyday life after the Arab Spring, and much more.
