Syria’s Arab neighbours have taken in the majority of refugees and are facing great challenges as a result. To what extent can art and culture contribute and make a difference in such situations? How can projects with and for artists be conceived in a way that is meaningful and sustainable? How can cultural projects rescue a lost generation? And what kind of contributions can be made by cultural institutions such as the Goethe-Institut?
