Young Ghalia goes to Damascus to study acting. She is particularly interested in learning more about herself, but believes that she has been possessed by the ghost of a woman who committed suicide on the day that she was born. She takes up residence in a shared flat in Damascus with young artists from across Syria, including a young director, with whom Ghalia falls in love. However, political events and the uprising on the streets of Syria take their toll on the relationship.
