Recent literature from Tradukistan – three literary voices
Leipzig Book Fair 2018

Thursday, 15th March, 11.00 am – 12.00 noon

Panel discussion with reading (Romanian, German)

Tradukistan is an unusual geographical unit. It includes all those countries that have voluntarily subscribed to the cultural and political undertaking of intensifying the literary and intellectual dialogue between the southern European countries and German-speaking nations.
In this spirit, Traduki opens its Leipzig programme at the Book Fair again this year with voices from the young literature scene in Albania, Liechtenstein and Romania.
Are poets a minority in Albania? As a citizen of Liechtenstein, are you part of a minority even though you belong to the great family of the German language? And why is it that the poor people in this world, even though they are in the majority, are treated like a minority? These questions and others will be answered by Manjola Nasi, Anton Beck and Bogdan Coșa, who will also read from their works.
