the German Embassy Doha, the Goethe-Institut Gulf Region and Qatar Museums invite families to join family workshops and tours.
Every Saturday until 20 January 2018 from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm we offer one of the two family workshops “Beloved Red” and “More Light” in the Studio No. 4 at Doha Fire Station.
Live Speakers are available as gallery guides daily from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm to answer questions and conduct impromptu guided tours. Every Wenesday, Friday and Saturday the following tours for adults are offered. Meeting point is the reception desk at the entrance.
Female Artists in the Deutsche Bank Collection

While it was virtually impossible for women artists to thrive in Germany at the end of the nineteenth century and beginning of the twentieth century, the image of the female artist was redefined in art after 1945. Since the beginning of the corporate collection, Deutsche Bank has collected early works of female artists who today play an important role in the international art market: Rosemarie Trockel, Isa Genzken, Katharina Grosse, and Annette Kelm. Who are these women and what role do their artworks play in the development of twentieth-century art? Become acquainted with major women artists from the Deutsche Bank Collection.

Since 1979, Deutsche Bank has had one of the most important collections of international drawings and photographs after 1945. Art from Germany plays a key role in the collection. How does the corporate collection reflect Germany’s social and artistic developments, as well as the movements in the country? Who were the artistic fathers and protagonists who still today have tremendous importance? A dialogic tour of the exhibition presents the most important art tendencies and the most significant painters, concept artists, and photographers between abstraction and figuration.
A Company Collects Art: Art at Work — Decoration or a Sustainable Concern?

A tour of the exhibition enables you to make a voyage of discovery through the German art landscape and to exchange ideas about the focal points of the corporate collection, which is continued at more than 900 of the bank’s branches around the world.
