Philipp Artus
Philipp Artus is a multidisciplinary artist and filmmaker based in Berlin.
His experimental animations, light installations and drawings explore the manifestations of life through movement, sound and imagery. He composes audiovisual experiences that unite playful elements with minimalist structures, timeless themes with contemporary observations, and turbulent acceleration with contemplative silence. After graduating from the École des Beaux Arts in Nantes/France he spent two years teaching himself animation, physics and music theory. He then completed his postgraduate studies at the Academy of Media Arts in Cologne/Germany.
Christin Bolewski
Christin Bolewski is a digital media and sound artist and experimental filmmaker from Germany. Undergraduate studies in film, video and photography, postgraduate studies in audiovisual media at the Academy of Media Arts Cologne in Germany. Researcher and lecturer at the Academy of Media Arts Cologne in Germany, Konstfack Stockholm in Sweden, UCSC California in the USA, Loughborough University in the UK. Professorship in Audiovisual Media FH Lemgo in Germany.
Max Hattler
Max Hattler is an artist and academic who works with abstract animation, video installation and audiovisual performance. He holds a master's degree from the Royal College of Art and a doctorate in Fine Art from the University of East London. Max has lectured at CalArts, USC, Goldsmiths, KASK and many more.
François Vogel
An inventor of cameras and a virtual camera maker, François Vogel is both an artist and a scientist. Through his photographic experiments based on his film creations, he plays with our vision, manipulates our perception of reality and immerses us in a unique universe (“Cuisine”, “Tournis”, “Trois petits chats”) or fragmented as crystal (“Rue Francis”, “Faux plafond”, “Les crabs”).
Regina Hübner
Regina Hübner (Huebner) was born in Villach, Austria. She lives in Villach and Rome, Italy. She works with experimental photography, video, sound and performance as well as well as texts, subjects and objects. She also involves professionals from the fields of visual art, literature, music and science. She has degrees in Sculpture from the Academy of Fine Arts, Rome, Italy and in Graphic Design from the Ortweinschule School of Art and Design, Graz, Austria.
She has held solo exhibitions at Nuit Blanche Paris 2018, MMKK Museum of Modern Art Carinthia, Dinzlschloss Villach, MLAC Museum Laboratory Contemporary Art Rome, EXPO 2015 Milano, change + partner contemporary art Rome, Austrian Cultural Forums Milan and Rome, Italian Cultural Institute Vienna, Cinecittà Studios Rome, among others, and has participated in international exhibitions and festivals. She is a fellow at the IMèRA Institut Méditerranéen de Recherches Avancées, Marseille.
Pierre Jean Giloux
The work of Pierre Jean Giloux can be described as the convergence of space, volume and images.
His videos are the result of associations and hybridizations. His visual and sound compositions sometimes include sequences in 2D and 3D animation. His graphic interventions into images allow him to modify our perception of reality and thereby create “reconstructed worlds”.
Gregory Robin
Trained as a painter, Gregory Robin developed and manifested a visual sensitivity at a very early age. Since 2007, he has devoted himself entirely to directing. He combines everything in his productions: music and photographs, rhythms and images. A portraitist at heart, he expresses himself through creative documentaries and has a predilection for marginal universes and end-of-the-race characters.

For the past eight years, Analog Room has dedicated itself to consistently presenting electronic music and other forms of digital art of the highest quality, focusing on the edgiest sounds and the most original artists, both locally and from around the globe.
About the festival:
VIDEOFORMES
VIDEOFORMES is a format for digital art dissemination and artistic production which has organized an annual international video and digital art festival since 1986. The festival highlights various art forms such as installations, videos, performances and multidisciplinary digital creations. The event is an opportunity to bring internationally renowned artists (such as Bill Viola, Gary Hill, Catherine Ikam, Pierrick Sorin, Chris Marker, Samuel Rousseau, Ko Nakajima, John Sanborn…) face to face with young artists.
Beyond the festival, VIDEOFORMES takes part in regional, national and international cultural events, and initiates a policy of artists-in-residency. As well as offering a programme that includes multidisciplinary and experimental performances (Videobars), VIDEOFORMES also publishes a magazine (Turbulences Vidéo) on a quarterly basis and provides artistic and cultural initiatives for young people.
VIDEOFORMES is now involved in the development of Digital Video Archives (“Les archives numériques”), one of the most important video and electronic art collections to be put together since 1986. VIDEOFORMES also runs an alternative gallery.
VIDEOFORMES is a member of LE DAMIER, RAN, the international network for digital arts, and FESTIVALS CONNEXION, the network for film festivals in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Regional district.
