Conditions of Participation
Digital PASCH Student Camp

27.06.-08.07.2022

1. General Requirements
The participants are students of German attending a FIT PASCH School in Australia: Box Hill High School (VIC), Ferny Grove State High School (QLD), Kenmore State High School (QLD) and Rossmoyne Senior High School (WA). The participants have successfully completed FIT IN DEUTSCH 1 exam, are currently attending year 10 or 1 and will be at least 15 years of age at the time of the digital camp.

2. Application, Selection and Participation
Application closes on 24 March 2022. The Goethe-Institut in Australia will select two PASCH students per school and contact the applicants to inform them if they were successful. The winners of the scholarship will be asked to complete a registration form for the digital camp.

3. Cancellation
As soon as the scholarship recipients have officially registered, their participation is binding. They can only cancel their participation with good reason. The cancellation must be made in writing or by e-mail.

4. Costs
Participation in the digital camp is free of charge for the recipients of the scholarship.

5. Equipment
Participants need a computer or laptop connected to the internet and equipped with a camera, microphone and headphones. The live sessions will take place on Zoom. Here you can find information about the system requirements for Zoom. Other activities will take place on the learn platform Moodle. Students will be logging in individually.

6. Teacher’s Consent
The participants are required to inform their teacher of German about their application.

7. Code of Conduct
Participants take note of and agree that in the event of serious violations of the rules of netiquette (e.g. anti-social behaviors) they will be excluded from the digital camp.

8. Privacy
Participants agree that all transmitted data and information will be electronically stored and processed by the Goethe-Institut for the purpose of conducting the digital camp and creating a database for alumni programs. Presentation may be recorded and appear on social media channels of the Goethe-Institut. If necessary, the data will also be made available to project partner organisations. The transfer of the data is in our interest as well as in the interest of the participants as it serves to ensure that they are adequately cared for. The data will always be kept confidential.

9. Liability
The parents/guardians assume full liability for the students during the entire duration of the digital camp. The Goethe-Institut, its employees or persons acting on its behalf cannot be made liable for any damages that may arise in connection with the participation. Instead, the parents/guardians shall bear the costs of such damages. This does not apply to damage resulting from gross negligence or intentional actions of an employee of the Goethe-Institut or person acting on its behalf.

10. Force majeure
Neither the Goethe-Institut nor its employees are liable for non-performance of contractual obligations or damages to the extent that they are caused by force majeure or other reasons outside the sphere of responsibility/influence of the Goethe-Institut.
