Who will win the Opera Grant 2020 and works for a year at Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden?

Four selected opera singers will present two arias each at the Opera Finale 2019 in order to win this year’s German-Australian Opera Grant.

The German-Australian Opera Grant enables  young and emerging Australian opera singers to be employed at the Wiesbaden Hessisches Staatestheater for one year and complete a language course at the Goethe-Institut in Germany.

Save the dates:

12 candidates will be selected for the Semi-Finals on 9th of August 2019:
10.30 am - 4pm at the Lithuanian Club Theatre, 44 Errol Street, North Melbourne

The four best candidates will be selected for the Finals on 10th of August 2019:
2.00pm at Deakin Edge, Federation Square

The candidates perform two arias each followed by a special guest performance and the announcement of the recipient of the 2020 German-Australian Opera Grant.
