A story of childhood sexual abuse

Festival Hub, Paddington Town Hall

Exhibition
Für mich. (for me) is an autobiographic work about sexual abuse experienced by the artist Sina Niemeyer during childhood. It includes photography, pictures of her family album, graphic design and writing and will be presented at the Head On Photo Festival.
With Für mich. Sina aims to raise awareness about the various forms of negative impact sexual abuse causes. The autobiography expresses through her visual art what she has experienced as it is not always possible to do so with words alone. Furthermore, Sina wishes to address other survivors of sexual abuse to encourage self-reflection and give solace.
