Photo 2021

Photo 2021 explores truth and reality in the context of the current global health crisis, political unrest and increase in artificial intelligence. 
Each work uniquely embodies or scrutinises the theme ‘The Truth’. Moreover, the festival encourages us to re-evaluate photography’s place in delivering, or indeed obstructing the truth.
The international festival provides a stage for more than 120 artists from over 40 cultural institutions. It includes public exhibitions, outdoor displays, educational programs and artist commissions.
The Goethe-Institut is proud to collaborate with Photo 2021 an co-present the Photobook Weekend featuring Dieter Neubert from the Kassel Photobook Festival who will hand over the “Kassel Dummy Award”.
The photobook weekend is on 27/28. February.
Another artist we are proud to co-present is  Hamburg-based photographer Heinrich Holtgreve form the famous Ostkreuz agency. He will be displaying his works at Windsor Place from the 19th of February to the 7th of March.
