Scholarships for students are offered annually in every Australian state and offer students of German in Year 10 the fantastic opportunity to travel to Germany. The 4-week study tour, organised by the Pädagogische Austauschdienst, will be awarded through a state based application process, facilitated by the German teachers’ association or network in the respective state. Application details will be announced by the German teachers' associations or networks. Application forms for the 3-week Goethe-Institut holiday course for students from VIC, NSW and ACT are available here. The scholarships include return airfare and transfers in Germany, course fees, accommodation and meals, as well as insurance.
The Goethe-Institut in Melbourne, in collaboration with the German Teachers’ Association of Victoria Inc. (AGTV) invites students of German in Year 10 to participate in this popular competition. The lucky main winner will receive a scholarship for a 3-week German language course at a Goethe-Institut in Germany in January 2019 (incl. flights, course fee, full board), as well as an intensive grammar course at the Goethe-Institut in Melbourne as preparation for the holiday course in Germany. Two further prizes are an intensive holiday course each at the Goethe-Institut in Melbourne (to be redeemed before September 2019).

The Goethe-Institut in Melbourne in cooperation with the South Australian German Teachers Association (SAGTA) offers students in Year 10 to participate in a 3-week German language course in Germany in January 2019. The scholarship comprises flights, course fee, full board, as well as $300 pocket money.

The lucky winner will receive a full language scholarship for a 3-week German course in Germany in January 2019, including airfares and full board. Two further prizes are an intensive holiday course each held at the Goethe-Institut Sydney (to be taken before November 2019).
Each applicant is required
·to hand in a flyer, poster or brochure in GERMAN in which the student presents “Deutsch in meiner Welt”
·and to write a supporting letter in ENGLISH (approx. 200 words) in which the student explains why he/she is the ideal candidate for this scholarship.
