Project-Based Learning in the German language classroom

In these workshops, teachers will explore practical ideas for student-centered projects at various levels (individual workshops will be held for both Primary and Secondary teachers).

Project-based learning can be a rewarding “break” from the everyday classroom as it aims to be student-driven and requires a range of real-life skills, which improves student motivation. Among other benefits, projects aim to include the use of digital media, discuss reliable sources for students’ research, enhance the learners´ cultural knowledge through authentic content and improve interpersonal skills through team work. Last but not least, we will present ways to include relevant grammatical/language content, so that the projects align with your curriculum.
After supplying you with ideas and different ways to implement projects, we will allow time for discussion with your colleagues to formulate a concrete structure for a project of your choice. If you already have a specific project in mind, there will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions and exchange ideas.
