SUSTAINABLE WITH GERMAN
Teachers of German are more than ever focused on creating sustainable German programs in their schools and engaging school communities in cross-curricular projects. German lends itself to many domains, in particular to those related to environmental topics and therefore plays a pivotal role in creating a viable future. A language program well embedded in school and community life will positively influence learning outcomes for students of all subjects
International and local guest speakers and colleagues will present inspiring ideas and best practice examples ready for classroom use as well as the latest trends in research and language policies (state, national and international). There will be an emphasis on innovative and integrated learning programs to engage students of all ages.
This conference provides the forum to develop personal collaborative relationships promoted by the Network of Australian Teachers of German (NATG).
We are delighted to welcome international guest speaker, Rebecca Rashid from Germany who will present on the subject of "sustainability", as well as Maria Fischer-Siregar from Indonesia who will give an overview of the DLL (Deutsch Lehren Lernen) online courses offered by the Goethe-Institut.
