In South Australia
An internationally recognised certificate is a great motivation tool for students. In Term 4, in cooperation with the University of Adelaide, the Goethe-Institut Australien offers Goethe-Zertifikat examinations for young people free of charge as an introductory offer in South Australia. They correspond to levels A1 and A2 of the six-level-scale of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Practice exam papers can be viewed on
www.goethe.de/exams.
In Australia, Year 9 students tend to take the A1 exam and Year 10-11 students the A2.
