Bayview Eden

Authentic Learning

Challenging students with task-based learning activities fosters inquiry and thinking skills, which are also essential in language acquisition. By exploring and analysing solutions to real-life problems, students engage with topics on a personal level, claiming agency over their learning process and outcomes. Engaging students in creative projects which require critical thinking is therefore becoming an integral part of teaching German.
International and local guest speakers and colleagues will present inspiring ideas and best practice examples ready for classroom use as well as the latest trends in research and language policies (state, national and international). There will be an emphasis on innovative and integrated learning programs to engage students of all ages.
This conference provides the forum to develop personal collaborative relationships promoted by the Network of Australian Teachers of German (NATG).

We invite all educators to submit papers for consideration that relate to their research, experiences and strategies for learning, teaching and the promotion of the German language. Please consider offering a session, or sharing a presentation with another teacher, or encouraging a colleague to contribute to the National Conference.
Please submit papers for consideration by Friday 8 May 2020 via this form.
