How to motivate children and teenagers in a digital German classroom

Research about language acquisition shows, that children and teenagers learn the best from each other. “Storytelling”, i.e. entertaining stories from the everyday life of students of German, awakes curiosity and emotions, providing a good variety during the class. It’s important to have a fixed structure and a transparent framework to take into account students’ attention span and their diverse interests. Things children and teenagers like doing in their spare time motivates them also in a language class. How can such activities be conducted online and how can we involve students so that they don’t lose interest in learning? In this seminar, you will get tips on digital tools to delight students and how to use them successfully in your online classes.
