This year the German Careers Day will be held as a nation-wide online event. Year 8-12 students from Australia are invited to join us on Thursday 29th July 2021
to learn about career paths with German.
Join us together with your secondary school students from the comfort of your classroom. In South Australia and Western Australia there will be a face-to-face accompanying program held at the University of Adelaide and the University of Western Australia.
We will start with a welcome and a keynote speech, followed by presentations from experts from a variety of academic fields. In the afternoon there will be an online film screening that can be attended optionally.
Preliminary program (subject to change)
(AEST): Welcome and keynote speech
(AEST): Parallel sessions 1
(AEST): Parallel sessions 2
(AEST): optional online film screening
To attend the online event students and teachers will log in via a link as a group from their classroom with one device only. We will most likely use the platform Zoom. The teacher will act as a moderator and operate the chat with prepared and spontaneous questions from the students. Schools will choose the sessions of their 1st, 2nd and 3rd choice prior to the events and receive respective links for allocated sessions. Please note that one group will have to attend the same presentations. Larger schools may be able to split into smaller groups.
